Who We Are
So we get a lot of questions about who we are and what we do.
Are we a theater company? Not exactly. An arts organization? Maybe, in our way. A writers’ group? Who said only writers? The fact is, Zebra Crossing encompasses a whole variety of activities, of which the only thing that can be said with any certainty is that we’re made up of artists, and the majority of what we make is art.
Started as a one-off theatre project by Chloë Bass and Drayton Hiers, Zebra Crossing is quickly growing into a continual artistic exploration. The majority of our focus is theatre and performance based, but we are also branching out into whatever pursuits grab our fancy; projects on the horizons include community-based film screenings, living room cabarets, library (play) readings, ice cream socials, and other adventures.
